Despite complications due to the impact of COVID-19 globally, the initiative is moving forward. As it does, it will prioritise the health and safety of those working on its planning, as well as the global community, and will shift and evolve to adapt as necessary.
While we adjust to this new landscape, for the time being, all planning meetings and public events for the initiative have been, and will continue to be, conducted online. The initiative hosted a successful online webinar after the cancellation of the Commission on the Status of Women in March this year.
We will be keeping a close eye on developments of the pandemic, as well as recommendations by the UN and WHO, and will move forward with in-person events and meetings only once it is again safe to do so.
